Bulk Dry Mix: Mini Chocolate Chip Oatmeal

We are always looking for ways to make un-processed foods ourselves, ways to get healthy. This is one that my son really likes and he is funny amount his oatmeal. It has to be thick, this is THICK and some. It cooks the way its suppose too, with a few helpful tips this is the best he has had. Better then any store bought and the best part is, it only took a few basic ingredients. All ingredients used for us are Organic and found at Wholefoods market.

Here is the how too:

Dry Mix:
Mini Chocolate Chip Oatmeal
2 cups quick oats (grind them up in the blender or food processor)
2 cups quick oats (leave them whole)
1 cup brown sugar
 1 1/2 TSP salt
2 TSP cinnamon
1/2 TSP nutmeg
1/4 Cup Mini Chocolate Chip Morsels
1/2 Cup powdered milk

1. Combine the sugar, salt, cinnamon, powdered milk and nutmeg in a bowl. Stir it well.
2. Add in the regular quick oats and the ground oats.
Stir well and store in an air tight container for up to 2 years.

No more strange names I can't read on the back of the box. No more added chemicals and more bang for your buck! Its a win, win

  1. That looks delicious! Thanks for sharing the idea, will have to play with that :) hmmm
