Homemade lemonade

There is something to be said about a cold glass of lemonade on a very hot summer day, it quenches
your thirst and hits the right spot!! Making your own taste so much better then store bought, plus its rewarding knowing your labor put out such a tasty treat. Caleb helped me with this one, he enjoyed juicing the lemons!

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 6 cups water
  • Pinch of salt
  • ½ cup lemon juice (fresh-squeezed is preferred, but bottled works in a pinch!)
  1. Combine the sugar and water in a pot. Bring the mixture to a boil and stir well to ensure all of the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from the mixture from the heat and chill it for at least an hour in the refrigerator.
  2. Once the mixture has cooled, combine the sugar-water mixture with a pinch of salt and lemon juice in a pitcher. Serve with ice.

  1. Fresh lemonade = summer! (I want to burst out into Olaf's song..."in SUMMER!!!" :P)

  2. Thanks! I never actually made lemonade before, it is easier than I thought!

  3. Looks so good, I might just have to do this before summer ends!
