gearing up

gearing up and getting ready for the move, the big day is not till another month away. HOWEVER I want to make sure that we are fully prepared and not rushing things, I started to pack. Got tons of boxes and newspapers and got quite a bit done. Caleb and I are also gearing up for our spring break that's going to spent with my brother in NM, very excited to visit and have a little fun.

Caleb and I went to a comic book store today and bought his first two comics, he wanted Indiana Jone's and I picked out a superman one. To top it off, I found {while packing} a box of my old child hood items. Things like popples, chubbles, rainbow brite, barbie dolls, baseball cards, coins and garbage pail kids cards. I purchased a nice clear box for the garbage pale kids to put in Caleb's new room, he looked at a few today and found them funny {as I did when I was his age}. I also purchased a shadow box today for the 6 silver dollar coins my grandpa gave me as a young girl, I am passing them on to Caleb and will frame them and hang in the new house. Also went to the thrift store the other day and purchased over 10+ 1930's "all about" books, educational and really neat to look through.

This week has been a hard one, Caleb wound up in the E.R. and missed a few days from school. Now he has this horrible cough that is worrying me.
Caleb's was fevering in the pic{luckily that's over now}, my mom as a little girl would put cool towels on my head and neck to get the fever down and I now do the same. I swear by it

  2. Hope Caleb gets thoroughly better soon. Good luck with the move - good idea getting prepared. Did it nearly 30 times (gave up counting after 25) in nearly 43 years of marriage, and no matter how one prepared, it always seemed to catch us out somehow! Be warned. Hope the moves goes well and there are no breakages.
