Christmas Parade

I got brave and drug us out to the heart of Denver for their annual Christmas parade, Caleb's first ever and my first in 15+ years. I can remember my mother taking me as a little girl and I just adored them, back then they would trow out candy to everyone {that was the best part}. We left a few hours early and managed a 2 row seat, the streets were just packed full of all kinds of folks. We found a gem of a place for parking and will go there again next year {was affordable as well, not 15$ for a hour!} Caleb's eyes were lit up and mouth open all the time with all the lights and sounds to take in for the first time.

  1. I haven't been to a Christmas parade in over 10 years...I really think it's about time I try and drag my family out for one too! I'll have to check and see what they offer locally...
I'm really glad you took Caleb and that he got to see it. I think it's wonderful when we as parents can share something with our children that we ourselves did when we were young. Awesome! (Hooray on the prime parking too!)

    Happy Holidays!

  2. So cool! And how awesome to share a childhood tradition with your son. I wish they had something like that around here because I think my son would love it too!
