back to school Kindergarten

Caleb has made it through one full week of school, he is staying home today as he woke up three times in the night getting little sleep and crying all this morning due to a sore throat and low grade fever. Im headed out here in a few to grab some mediation to ease hime, poor kiddo just starting school and got sick. Seems like everyone we know is sick right now, so its no wonder!
created a back to school treasury on etsy
then I have had this one on my computer saving it for when school started back, its a tear jerker and had me sobbing!! How many mothers can relate?
Kindergarten Wonder
by Wendy Silva
I wonder what you’re doing right now
and if everyone is treating you kind.
I hope there is a special person
a nice friend that you can find.

I wonder if the teacher knows just
how special you are to me.
And if the brightness of your
heart is something she can see.

I wonder if you are thinking about
me and if you need a hug.
I already miss the sound of your
voice and how you give my leg a tug.

I wonder if you could possibly understand
how hard it is for me to let you grow.
On this day know that my heart breaks
for this is the first step in letting my baby go.

  1. I just dropped my daughter off for her first day of preschool. It is way too quiet without her. Even if she liked to drive me crazy, I miss it. Ha! I think this is a lot harder on the moms!!! Yes, the poem made me cry! I hope your little guy gets to feeling better real soon! Take care!

  2. Ahhh Sorry the kids are sick and what a sweet poem!

My grandson stays with me when school is out (14 hours a day). This summer the last night before school was to start he told me he was about to cry. That from my little 8 year old. As I fought the tears, he knew.

I picked him up yesterday and he stayed with me for 6 hours. we played football, dinosaurs and goofed off. I know as time goes by he won't want to sit in my lap or hang out with me. But probably throw the football!

  3. Kelly,
Yes, the poem IS a tear-jerker! And it gets even harder to let go as the years go by (and they go by so quickly).
Sorry to hear Caleb wasn't feeling too hot, and I hope he's feeling better.

I would love to hear from you! Please leave your comments below, let me know you enjoyed reading my blog.
