I recently diagnosed myself of something huge, I am either allergic to coffee or hazelnut creamer. Over the last half year, I spent over 2,000$ in doctors visits and testing. Which include colonoscopy, blood work, etc.. I have the worst tummy pains and bad bathroom habits. It worried me as it just hit me and I'm a fairly healthy person. So after so many visits and them not knowing what was wrong and all testing coming back normal, I noticed one morning after my cup of Joe that I got super sick and one side of my face started to go numb. Scary huh? So I cut out my coffee linking it to my sickness, guess what? Its been weeks and I'm back to normal, no tummy pain no sickness!!

Something in my beloved coffee was making me very ill. I now drink Tea every morning, I'm getting pretty serious into it and you know what I LOVE it more then coffee! Who would have thought?! Its actually FUN to make and so many health benefits, I wish I would have done this years ago.

I use a pot to seep, I have tried tons of flavors and found a excellent online tea shop called persimmontreetea, their Green teas are hands down the best! They also sell a sugar specially made for teas that yum called 'rock sugar'. Agave nectar is also totally yum with the teas!

Which now brings me to today's photography challenge

photography challenge: day 8: a bad habit

s u g a r, is my weakness and one of my only bad habits. I pile it high, 2 teaspoons of rock sugar and 2 teaspoons of nectar....I have a bit of a sweet tooth.

Colorado theater shooting

A few days ago I mentioned that we live in Aurora, Colorado. This is where the Colorado theater shooting recently took place. I decided to pack up Caleb and I and pay our respects to those who lost their lives and to those that lost someone they loved. I had it in my heart to visit near the area, my prayers and thoughts are with all who were effected. I cant imagine the emotions and feelings that these people are going through, yet they need to know they are not alone. It was nice to see others like myself, visiting the areas. Candles, balloons, teddy bears, notes and flowers everywhere. A reality that so many here are in so many others thoughts and prayers. On top of a hill, were White crosses that family members and loved ones of the victim's were starting to put names on. One man wrote on the cross "my brother in arms" then he prayed with another man, so moving and so real.

live butterfly garden

My son is a total science type of kid, he loves everything about it. So I bought him this "live butterfly" package for him to enjoy and it wound up being one of the neatest things to to witness and make out of a project for the entire family to enjoy.

I bought the kit, you send a form for your live worms in the mail, they all arrived safely and very small. Over the week they get very large and then they hang upside down on the jar they are shipped in. After this you transport them to the pop up habitat, form there they form into cacoons and turn brown in color and smooth. Then they turn black and hatch from their shells! So neat to watch!!

We fed them sliced oranges and bought carnations and put drops of sugar water in them. We only kept them for 4-5 days and then this morning we let them go! Caleb was so tickled Pink and sad to see them go, here I thought this was for kids only to enjoy and I do believe I enjoyed it the most. Totally doing it again next year

My mother has been going through her older photo albums and re-doing them and organizing, which I have been enjoying! She has been sending me all kinds of pictures from my childhood and beyond, heres one of my favorites of me!

Part of my childhood memories include crawfishing everyday, I grew up by a lake out in the country and this was how I passed time. So we did some crawfishing yesterday and had so much fun. Time went by so fast while we were doing it, its been a good 15+ years since I held a crawfish. We bought some hotdogs and tied them on strings and then to a stick. Crawfish love bacon and hotdogs, we caught around 10+ yesterday and one really large "king" one, afterwards we let them all go. Caleb was thrilled with it all and informed me we were goign again today. We'll wait a few weeks and head back to do it again, took tons of pics and a video

Denver Aquarium

The weekends are always dedicated to my son, he is the world to me and I want to make sure we have fun everystep of the way! We went to the Denver aquarium yesterday and got to feed real sting rays! It was so fun, they suck the fish right out of your hands. We also got to see a bald eagle! Then we ate some lunch at a restaurant and headed home. I think today we are going to try and do some crawdad fishing if it dosent rain.

our 4th of July

We had a nice day yesterday, I was feeling a little down but took a power nap to enjoy the rest of the day~ We started off with some at home poppers and pull guns, followed by silly string and I grilled up some BBQ chicken! Then we went to enjoy some fireworks in a few citys over, ours was banned this year. Caleb got to do his first sparkler and he was amazed, somethin I grew up on every year and this kiddo had never tried it till this year! A busy but fun day, back to work in my shop and needing to play catchup around the house. How was your 4th of July?

Caleb lost his first tooth!

My sweet boy lost his first tooth!!  It has been loose for over a month now and the new tooth had already grown in almost all the way behind it, so I took him in to the dentist and they pulled it!

I had purchased this cute little handmade personalized tooth pillow on Etsy, that Caleb put his tooth in for the tooth fairy. She left him 5$ and a golden coin, can you believe it?! I had woke up that morning at 5:30 a.m. to Caleb running through the house squealing "mommy mommy, she came!" TOTALLY worth it all and priceless.
